Key Findings

In summary, the key findings prove that the prototype samples outperform two of the leading brands boots significantly, in terms of spin by up to 20%.

The thicknesses and resilience of the layers can be adjusted to suit a very specific application of the end product.

For example a thicker base layer may be incorporated in a soccer boot suited to a defender, where relatively higher force may be used in kicking a ball, and greater protection of the foot is needed. In the alternative, a base layer may be relatively thinner in a soccer boot suited to a midfielder or winger where the player's role is predominantly in controlling direction of the ball rather than displacing it a great distance with force.

By virtue of our concept's ability to control impact dynamics, a whole range of performance and protection characteristics can be achieved. Specific changes to the mechanics of the layer system can be optimised for power (stiff system), control (balanced stiffness and shock attenuation) and also protection (impact and shock attenuation).

Financial Proposal

There is enough primary data & sufficient potential to permit brand ownership, whereby the technology can be developed to your specific requirements.

By integrating this technology (ID) into football boots, both grass roots layers through to professionals can benefit, especially given the protection element which juniors could benefit from whilst the delicate bones in their feet are still developing. Moreover, the cost to clubs when professional players are injured due to lightweight boots which do not offer enough protection could be dramatically reduced.

Thank you.
